A unique city centre pub with a rich history

Nicholson’s Pubs are known for their individual style, exciting stories, and charming personalities — and The Old Thameside Inn is certainly no exception.

The Old Thameside Inn certainly isn’t lacking when it comes to history. Our pub was once an old spice warehouse, and the remains of Winchester Palace stand behind The Old Thameside. The cobbled road that runs behind the pub is linked to the original Clink Prison, whilst a full-scale replica of Sir Francis Drake’s famous ship, the Golden Hind, sits beside us on the Thames near you.

The Old Thameside Inn is the perfect place to watch sports with friends. We’re equipped with Sky TV, so you won’t miss a minute of the action, and can soak up a great atmosphere whilst you tuck into your favourite dishes or enjoy a refreshing pint.
